GOPIO International Trinidad and Tobago Chapter – Panel Discussion
GOPIO International Trinidad and Tobago Chapter recently hosted a panel discussion commemorating 50 years of Independence. The event was held on the 11th August 2012 from 2-6 p.m. level 2 Xtra Foods Building, 37 Eleanor Street, Chaguanas, Trinidad and Tobago. The local event was organized to discuss the upcoming 50th Independence Day celebrations in Trinidad & Tobago, on 31st August 2012, and as well pay tribute to several individuals for their achievements for humanitarian work and national contributions within the Republic of Trinidad & Tobago.
Special thanks to our panelists which included: Ms. Aneela Bhagwat, Dr. Rakib Buckridan, Mr. John Ramsaran, Ms. Ria Ramnarine, and Dr. Jerome Teelucksingh, and our special invited guest H.E Malay Mishra High Commissioner of India, Port of Spain.
Several awards were given to individuals in recognition for their contributions these included: Ms. Zalayhar Hassanali (Community Services and Charitable Work), Dr. Morgan Job (As a Friend of GOPIO), Mr. Narad Amarsingh (Nation Building and Cultural Development), Ms. Rosiana Ramdeo (Recognition of Dedicated Mid-Wife Services).
